Prayer Intention for April

Compassion 

God of compassion and mercy, your love overflows to all people.  Touch our hearts so that we will imitate your compassion in our attitudes and actions.  Open our minds with your universal awareness to the oneness of all creation.  May we be the agents of your compassion to those close at hand and those far away.  May all people learn the wonder of caring and being cared for through the power of your compassion in us. Amen

Be Compassionate as your Father is compassionate - Lk 6:36

As God's chosen ones...put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience - Col 3:12

It was essential that [Christ] should in this way become completely like his brothers so that he could be a compassionate...high priest - Heb 2:17

But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight.  Lk 11:33

The quality of mercy is not stain'd

Ask yourself, "What act of compassion or kindness can I do?"  Listen for the answer and be specific (now, this morning, for her, this summer, for this family, etc)  Do it
